Copper Clad Laminate Press
A copper clad laminate (CCL) press is a specialized machine designed for the production of copper clad laminates, which are widely used in the manufacturing of printed circuit boards (PCBs). Its primary function is to bond copper foil with insulating substrates (such as FR-4) under controlled temperature and pressure to form a conductive layer.
Modern CCL production commonly adopts vacuum laminating presses, using thermal oil heating and double-opening (dual daylight) pressing to ensure uniform heat transfer, stable pressure, and high bonding quality.
A typical vacuum laminating press mainly consists of four systems:
- Hydraulic cylinders and hydraulic system
- Heating platens with heating and cooling system
- Vacuum system
- Control system
