Equipment and process details
Final parameters and system boundaries are confirmed against materials, process targets, capacity and site conditions.
The phenolic kraft paper one-step impregnation line is mainly used for producing phenolic kraft paper, a key material for the HPL.
In HPL, phenolic impregnated kraft paper serves as the core layer, requiring excellent resin penetration, strong interlayer bonding, and high heat resistance.
With a mature structure and stable operation, the line is suitable for kraft paper of different basis weights and various phenolic resin systems. It balances continuous production efficiency with product consistency, making it an ideal solution for producing HPL core paper.
Application | HPL core layer paper production line |
|---|---|
Process Type | One-Step Impregnation Line |
Base Paper | Kraft Paper |
Resin System | Phenolic resin (PF) |
Customization | Line configuration, including oven zone number and unit requirements, can be recommended or customized based on base paper basis weight and dimensions, production capacity targets, and finished paper requirements. |
Nantong Tongbo Machinery specializes in the manufacturing of one-step phenolic kraft paper impregnation lines for producing phenolic impregnated kraft paper used as the core material of High Pressure Laminate (HPL).
In HPL production, phenolic impregnated kraft paper provides the structural strength and dimensional stability of the finished laminate.
Process Configuration
Equipment | Function |
|---|---|
Arm-Radial Rewinder | Winds the web using a rotating arm while maintaining stable tension and enabling quick roll changes for continuous production. |
Impregnation Gluer | Applies and meters resin uniformly onto the base paper, ensuring full fiber penetration and controlled resin pickup before drying. |
Drying Ovens | Remove moisture and solvents so the resin reaches the required B-stage for stable downstream processing. |
Cooler | Reduces the temperature of the impregnated material after drying, stabilizing the sheet and preventing sticking before cutting, stacking, or further processing. |
Web Guide | Corrects lateral web misalignment so the material remains centered and stable without uneven tension. |
Traction Unit | Provides controlled pulling force so the material moves through each process section at a stable speed and tension. |
Paper Cutter | Cuts the continuous impregnated web into sheets of the required length for downstream stacking or pressing. |
Conveyor | Transfers cut sheets smoothly to the stacker or the next process without deformation or misalignment. |
Paper Stacker | Automatically collects and aligns cut sheets into neat stacks for handling and downstream processing. |
