In daily operation of two-step impregnation lines, operators and process engineers often raise questions regarding the appropriate RC pickup (resin content) for different applications, such as MFC, PB, Plywood and HPL.

Based on common industrial practice, the typical RC pickup ranges are as follows:

HPL surface paper (melamine resin): 100% RC

MFC / Melamine-faced MDF decorative paper: 130% RC

PB decorative paper: 145–150% RC

Film-faced shutter plywood (phenolic overlay): 180–220% RC

Correct RC selection ensures stable surface quality, consistent bonding performance, and reliable downstream lamination results.

We hope this clarification helps achieve stable and successful operation across multiple product types.
